The Bible contains many verses that speak of the destruction of the earth. From the first book of Genesis to the last book of Revelation, there is a rich history of warnings and prophecies related to the destruction of this planet. While some passages describe this destruction in terms of natural disasters, others paint a picture of an apocalyptic end with the coming of God’s judgment. 2 Peter 3:10: “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.”
Isaiah 24:19-20: “The earth is broken up, the earth is split asunder, the earth is thoroughly shaken. The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard, it sways like a hut; its transgression lies heavy upon it, and it falls, and will not rise again.”

The Great Flood
The Bible records a great flood that took place in the time of Noah. According to Genesis 6:11-13, it was God’s way of punishing the wickedness of mankind. God saw that the earth was filled with violence and wickedness and decided to cleanse it by sending a great flood.
The Lord told Noah that he had determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth was filled with violence through them; and he commanded Noah to build an ark of gopher wood for the saving of his house. He also instructed Noah on how many pairs of animals should be taken into the ark and how much food should be stored there for their sustenance.
God then promised that he would bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. He further commanded Noah to enter into the ark with his family, along with two or seven pairs (depending on species) of every living creature, male and female, to keep them alive during the flooding period.
When it came time for the flood, God caused it to rain for forty days and forty nights upon the earth, thus destroying every living thing on its face except those who were in Noah’s ark. After 150 days, when the waters had abated, God sent a wind over the earth which caused the waters to subside so that they no longer covered any area on land.
God blessed Noah and his sons after they emerged from the ark and made a covenant with them never again to destroy all flesh by water. He also set a rainbow as a sign of His promise that there would never again be a flood like this one. Thus ended The Great Flood as recorded in Genesis 6:11-13 – an event which changed history forever!
The Seven Trumpet Judgments
The book of Revelation contains a number of judgments, with the seven trumpet judgments being some of the most significant. These judgments are detailed in Revelation 8:7-12 and are meant to bring about a period of suffering and destruction that will ultimately lead to God’s ultimate victory.
The first judgment is described as hail and fire mingled with blood, which is said to be cast upon the earth. This judgment is meant to destroy a third part of all vegetation on the earth. The second judgment consists of something like a great mountain burning with fire, which is thrown into the sea, destroying a third part of all sea life and a third part of all ships.
The third judgment sees an angel come down from heaven with a great star in his hand, whose name is Wormwood. This star poisons a third part of all rivers and springs, turning them into bitter water that can no longer be consumed by anyone. The fourth judgment involves another angel coming down from heaven who has power over the sun, moon, and stars. He commands them to not give off their light until God’s wrath has been completed against those who have sinned against Him.
The fifth judgment sees an angel come down from heaven with the key to the bottomless pit in his hand. He opens up the bottomless pit which releases smoke that darkens the air for five months and brings forth locusts that have power like scorpions and sting whoever does not bear God’s mark on their forehead or hand. The sixth judgment sees four angels given permission by God to release four destructive forces onto the earth: fire, smoke, sulphur, and an army of 200 million horsemen sent out to kill one-third of mankind.
Finally, we have the seventh trumpet judgment which describes loud voices coming out of heaven as well as seven thunders speaking in unison revealing mysterious secrets that are not revealed in Scripture. This seventh trumpet marks the beginning of God’s reign over His people forevermore as described in Revelation 11-19.
These seven trumpet judgments serve as warnings to mankind regarding sin and its consequences while also serving as signs for us to look forward to when Christ will return in order to bring about His ultimate victory over evil once and for all time!
The Global Drought
The world is suffering from a global drought. Isaiah 24:1-3 prophesied that this would come to pass. In these verses, the prophet speaks of a day when the heavens and the earth will be scorched and dried up from lack of water. The land will be parched, and nothing can live or thrive in such an environment.
The effects of this global drought are far-reaching. Water scarcity has become a major concern for many countries, especially those in the developing world. In some places, water is so scarce that people have to resort to drinking contaminated water just to survive. Crops are failing due to lack of water, leading to food insecurity for millions of people around the globe.
In addition, global warming is exacerbating the drought conditions in many parts of the world. Climate change is causing temperatures to rise, which leads to increased evaporation rates and decreased precipitation levels. This means that there is less moisture in the atmosphere for plants and animals to utilize, leading to further stress on already-strained resources.
Fortunately, there are solutions available that can help alleviate some of the effects of a global drought. Governments must work together on an international level to develop sustainable solutions that will provide clean drinking water and adequate irrigation for agricultural production. Additionally, individuals must do their part by conserving water wherever possible and reducing their own carbon footprint through lifestyle changes such as switching from driving cars to taking public transportation or using renewable energy sources like solar power instead of fossil fuels.
Ultimately, it is up to all of us to take action against climate change and prevent a global drought from becoming an even larger disaster than it already is today. By working together now we can ensure a brighter future for both our planet and its inhabitants.
Warnings of Earth’s Destruction
In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus issues a warning about the end of the world and destruction of the earth. He says in verse 36: “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Jesus goes on to warn that when these events come to pass, people should be ready and vigilant. He advises his followers to “keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Matthew 24:42).
Jesus then gives a detailed description of the events leading up to this time. He talks about wars and rumours of wars, famines, earthquakes and other disasters that will take place before he returns. He also mentions false prophets who will arise and lead many astray with their teachings.
Jesus ends his warning with a call to action: “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Matthew 24:42). This call is a reminder for Christians to remain prepared for Christ’s return and stay focused on living out their faith.
The message in Matthew 24 is clear: Jesus is coming back soon and his followers must be ready for it. His warnings are meant to help us stay alert and prepared for his return. We can use this time to grow in our faith, live out our faith in love and service to others, and remain vigilant in praying for God’s kingdom to come here on earth as it is in heaven.
The Bowl Judgments
The seventh trumpet ushers in the bowl judgments, which are a series of seven bowls filled with divine wrath. The first bowl causes painful sores to break out on those who have the mark of the beast. The second bowl causes the sea to turn to blood, killing all sea life. The third bowl turns all fresh water to blood and causes great anguish among those living on earth. The fourth bowl brings intense heat from the sun and scorches people with fire. The fifth bowl brings darkness and pain upon those who have the mark of the beast. The sixth bowl dries up the Euphrates river, making it easier for an army from the east to march against God’s people. Finally, the seventh bowl pours out God’s wrath on all nations, causing terrible earthquakes and hailstorms.
All these judgments are intended as a warning for those who have rejected God’s offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. They also serve as a reminder that God is sovereign over all creation and will ultimately bring justice to earth.
The Fall of Babylon
Revelation 18 & 19 describe the fall of the great city of Babylon. In these two chapters, we learn that Babylon is a symbol for all that is evil in the world and its destruction marks the end of an age. In Revelation 18, a powerful angel brings an announcement to announce Babylon’s imminent destruction. The angel warns the merchants and ship-owners of the world to not be fooled by Babylon’s riches, as they will soon be destroyed by God’s judgment.
In Revelation 19, we hear about a great celebration in heaven when God defeats Babylon. Heaven rejoices at its fall and God is praised for his justice. All the people respond with joy and praise to God for finally destroying this wicked city. The fall of Babylon symbolizes God’s power over evil and His ultimate victory over sin and death.
The fall of Babylon also serves as an example for us today to remember that no matter how powerful something may seem, it can still be defeated by God’s power and love. We must remember to always trust in His will above all else, no matter what may happen in our lives. No matter what struggles we face, we can know that ultimately God will bring justice and victory from it if we place our faith in Him.
Signs of Earth’s Destruction
The Bible clearly describes the signs of destruction that will occur before the end times. In Luke 21:25-26, Jesus speaks of “signs in the sun, moon, and stars,” with people being fearful and perplexed by what they see in the heavens. In Mark 13:24-25, He talks about a time when “the stars will fall from heaven” and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. These signs indicate that something drastic is about to take place on earth.
The Bible also speaks of other signs such as wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, and persecution (Matthew 24:6-8). These are all symptoms of a world in crisis and chaos. They show an increase in suffering and destruction that will be a precursor to the end times.
In addition to these physical signs described in Scripture, there are also spiritual signs that come with the end times. One such sign is an increase in false prophets (Matthew 24:11). As we get closer to the end times, there will be more false teachers who lead people astray from the truth. There will also be an increase in lawlessness (2 Timothy 3:1-5) as well as increasing wickedness (2 Thessalonians 2:7). All of these spiritual signs indicate that we are getting closer to judgment day.
The signs of destruction described in Scripture give us a clear indication that the end times are upon us. We must stay alert and prepare our hearts for what is to come so that we can stand firm when it arrives.

The Bible speaks of the destruction of the earth in many places. It is clear that there will be a time when the physical world as we know it will be destroyed.
